Camp Get Ahead Registration

Gearing up for Camp Get Ahead 2026! Blind and visually impaired youth, ages 10-18, are invited to join us for an unforgettable week of learning, sharing, and adventure! Camp Get Ahead will take place during Monday June 8th 2026 to Saturday June 13th, 2026. Camp will take place at Camp Palehua.

Medication Policy: I understand that Guide Dogs of Hawaii does not administer medication. Should I trust my child with this task of self-administering, I understand that their medications will be held in a controlled location, and that my child will be held responsible for taking their medication as prescribed, under staff supervision. Code of Conduct

As part of Guide Dogs of Hawaii’s commitment to making social activities a great place to meet and interact with others, you agree to abide by this Code of Conduct. Your commitment to this Code of Conduct during all social activities will help create a positive experience for all the participants.

Respect Others

We encourage everyone to treat each other with mutual respect. Do not threaten, harass, bully, or abuse others participating in the social activity.

Play Nice

Guide Dogs of Hawaii will not tolerate disruptive behavior such as yelling, pushing, hitting, profanity or stealing. Participants want to learn and socialize in a positive environment.

Accept Responsibility

You are responsible and liable for your behavior while participating in any GDH sponsored social activity. Remember, you are responsible for anything you say or do and for your own personal belongings.

Uphold the Code

In helping to make our social activity a great way to meet others, learn new things and enhance social skills, you must do your part to uphold this Code of Conduct.

Guide Dogs of Hawaii reserves the right to remove any participant who violates the Code of Conduct, including disallowing future participation in GDH sponsored social activities.

Guide Dogs of Hawaii also reserves the right to amend or change the Code of Conduct at any time without notice. You agree to periodically review this document to ensure you are doing your part.

COVID-19

In order to maintain the proper regulations that ensure the health and safety of the clients and staff, all participants who sign up agree to the following:

  • Prior to dropping off your child, please check for abnormal temperature and any other signs of illness. If your child is displaying any symptoms of illness, we ask that you contact us immediately to let us know that they will not be attending.
